Free treatment up to Rs 5 Lacs: Isha Kalia

Punjab government’s ambitious health project Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana will cover 2.15 lac families of Hoshiarpur district where in treatment upto Rs 5 lacs would be given in government and private empanelled hospitals from August 20 onwards.
Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Isha Kalia said that the scheme covers around various kinds of ailments for which free treatment facilities will be offered to the patients.
She said that farmers- J form holders, traders, BPL card holders and other Beneficiaries included in this scheme.
Concerned beneficiaries can find their names at the lists available with common services centers (CSC). She said that no new registrations for the schemes are being done as of now. CSC have been designated where people can find their names and get E- Cards issued. E-Cards will be issued at a cost of Rs 30 at these centers. It is not mandatory to get smart card CSC only. People can get it from anywhere at their own free will.
She said that 104 helpline is also providing the complete information pertaining to the first of its kind Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna by 24×7 days. For more details one can also log on to the Website www.shapunjab.in.
