Reiterates Commitment to Further Implement the Policies of State Government Effectively to Benefit Masses

IAS officer Ramvir Singh, from the 2009 batch, assumed charge on Tuesday as the new Divisional Commissioner of Jalandhar. He reaffirmed his strong commitment to implementing the policies of the state government, headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, with the aim of delivering maximum benefits to the public.
A seasoned officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Ramvir Singh has served the state government in a variety of key roles, earning a reputation for his proactive and responsive approach to public service.
With extensive administrative experience, he has held significant positions such as Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, Sangrur, and Pathankot, as well as Managing Director of Markfed. Currently, he is serving as Secretary of the Punjab Mandi Board and Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab.
The Divisional Commissioner emphasized that every effort will be undertaken to ensure the delivery of clean, transparent, and responsive governance to the public. He assured that no effort would be spared in driving the region’s development and enhancing the well-being of its residents.
He also highlighted that special focus would be placed on the effective implementation of the state’s flagship programs. Mr. Ramvir Singh added that a transparent framework would be devised to further enhance the efficiency of administrative operations within the division.
Additionally, he stated his commitment to advancing the welfare programs and policies of the Punjab government to ensure their benefits reach the weaker and underprivileged sections of society. Ramvir Singh affirmed his determination to establish a more effective and transparent system designed to significantly benefit the region’s population.
He concluded by reiterating that all necessary steps would be taken to improve the functioning of government departments and maximizes the impact of governance schemes for the people.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, Himanshu Aaggarwal, extended a warm welcome to the new Divisional Commissioner at his office.
Prior to this, the Divisional Commissioner was honoured with a Guard of Honor presented by a contingent of the Punjab Police.
