Two micro observers assigned to each counting center

Jalandhar, December 16:
Punjab State Election Commission’s appointed Election Observer, Senior PCS officer Nayan, conducted a meeting with micro observers at the District Administrative Complex to outline their responsibilities during the vote counting process for Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections.
During the meeting, Nayan underscored the critical nature of the counting process, stressing that micro observers must closely monitor every phase of counting. She instructed them to ensure strict adherence to the directives provided by the Election Commission.
Eleven counting centers have been established in the district, with two micro-observers assigned to each center. It was emphasized that any irregularities or suspicious activities noticed must be promptly reported to the Returning Officer or their office. There was a clear directive to ensure full transparency throughout the counting process.
The Election Observer urged the Micro Observers to carry out their responsibilities with utmost honesty and impartiality.
Highlighting the significance of these elections as the cornerstone of democracy, it was noted that their success relies heavily on the sincere and dedicated efforts of all staff involved in the election process.
