Holds review meeting with officers at Ambedkar Bhawan

Newly appointed Chairman of Punjab Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation (PSCLDFC) Mohan Lal Sood today asked the officers to zealously implement the various welfare schemes of the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

Chairing a meeting here at the Ambedkar Bhawan, the Chairman said that providing good governance and clean administration to the people was the top priority of the state government. He said that every officer was duty bound to ensure that the benefits of these pro-people schemes was percolated to every eligible beneficiary at grass-root level.

Sood said that in a landmark initiative the state government has waived off loans worth Rs 45.41 crore of 14, 260 beneficiaries hailing from the Schedule Caste Community.

The Chairman said that the state government in coming days would also initiate several other schemes to ensure the well being of the weaker and underprivileged sections of society. He said that the basic motto was to ensure that this strata of society also becomes an active partner in the socio-economic growth of the state and the country.

Sood said that he would regularly hold meetings with the officers and ensure the proper implementation of the various schemes for the well being of the community.

The Chairman also reviewed the progress of ongoing loan waiver scheme in the district.

Earlier, District Welfare Officer Rajinder Singh, District Manager Punjab Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation (PSCLDFC) Vijay Kumar and other officers welcomed the Chairman.
