Flight Lieutenant Alisha Tandon  today said that wearing the uniform of the Armed forces was a matter of great pride and satisfaction for every individual but it also carries a huge responsibility as it was nourished by the blood of martyrs.

Interacting with the students during the sixth Edition of the Spark career guidance fest here at local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Flight Lieutenant Alisha Tandon said that youth of country was having lot of potential to excel in any field and they could aptly serve the nation by joining the Armed Forces especially the Indian Air force.

She envisioned that such fests could act as a catalyst to ensure that more and more youth from the region join the IAF as officers and serve the country.

She also informed the students from the various streams about the entire process regarding the recruitment in the Air Force through NDA, Air Force Common Admission Test, Combined Defence Services and others.

Striking an emotional chord with the girl students, Flight Lieutenant further said that they could excel in every field of their desire after proper grooming.

She said that the girls should sit hand-on-hand and wait for the opportunity to fall in their lap.

Rather she said that the girls should equip themselves with power of education and lead the country in varied fields.

She also informed the youth that there was a lot of opportunities waiting for them in the Indian Air Force
