Demands constitution of high level committee to investigate arrest of RTA
Association also decides to approach Chairman Police Complaint Authority

Chandigarh, 8 January 2023: A meeting of Punjab Civil Service Association was held today under the chairmanship of its President Rajat Oberio.
Around 80 PCS officers attended the meeting, which included Sukhpreet Singh Sidhu, Lateef Ahmed, Sakattar Singh Bal, Avikesh Gupta, Major Amit Sareen , Amarjit Singh Bains, Pooja Syal and Ankur Mohinderoo.
The meeting deliberated various issues, including case of Tarsem Chand which is still pending despite a clear cut report submitted by the SIT. The association also demanded that government should register FIR against the people who conspired to frame Tarsem Chand.
The meeting also resolved that all the PCS officers in the state shall proceed on mass casual leave for the coming week from 9 January 2023.
The meeting resolved that government should constitute a high-level committee to investigate the current arrest of Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, which they termed as illegal, seeking its report by 13th January 2023.
The meeting also decided to submit a complaint to the Chairman of Punjab Police Complaints Authority Satish Chandra retired ACS regarding case of Tarsem Chand and Narinder Dhaliwal.
