Construction costs will be Rs. 11.66 crore

Giddarbaha, May 25
The foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of Judicial Court Complex at Giddarbaha was held on Saturday.
The foundation stone of the building was laid down by Justice Rajan Gupta, Chairman of building committee of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sudhir Mittal, Administrative Judge Sessions Division Sri Muktsar Sahib and Justice Harnaresh Singh Gill. Sukhwinder Kaur, District and Sessions Judge, M.K. Aravind Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Sri Muktsar Sahib, SSP Manjit Singh Dhesi and Hardeep Singh Bhangal President of Bar Association were also present.
On this occasion, Justice Rajan Gupta said that this Judicial Court Complex will be equipped with all the modern facilities. Apart from the courts, residential blocks will also be constructed for judges.
This court complex will be ready in a year. Its construction will cost Rs.1165.99 lakhs. The total covered area of ground floor will be 25116 and the total covered area of the first floor will be 22075 square feet.
Justice Gupta added that this project would serve as the kick start in the development of the area. Justice Gupta highlighted his worries against the drug and female foeticide issues. He said that there will be a seminar in the district on this topic soon.
Sudhir Mittal, Administrative Judge Sessions Division Sri Muktsar Sahib said that with this complex, the area will be benefitted with one of the older needs.
This would help the people of the society. Looking at the historical perspectives of the judicial system, he said that smooth and committed judicial system is very important for social peace.
Earlier, District and Session Judge Sukhwinder Kaur welcomed everyone and Bar Association president Hardeep Singh Bhangal thanked all, in the end of the ceremony.
Kanwaljeet Singh, Additional District and Session Judge, Pritpal Singh, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Ravi Gulati, Civil Judge Senior Division, Atul Kamboj, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Harvinder Singh, Additional Civil Judge Senior Division, Parvinder Kaur Additional Civil Judge Senior Division, Aman Sharma Additional Civil Judge Senior Division, Mandeep Singh Civil Judge Junior Division, Shivangi Sagar Civil Judge Junior Division, Isha Goel Civil Judge Junior Division, Amarinder Singh Sidhu President Consumer Forum, SDM Om Prakash, Advocate Snehpreet Singh Mann Bar Association secretary were also present on this occasion.
