Road accidents can be reduced to large extent by following traffic rules: SSP
Conducted 149 seminars in 15 months for traffic awareness

Traffic Education Cell SAS Nagar is proved beneficiary in educating the people about traffic rules and 149 seminars were conducted at different places in the district in 5 months from January 1 to May 31 for this purpose.
SSP SAS Nagar Harcharan Singh Bhullar told that the objective of such seminars is to increase awareness about the traffic rules among the public and motivate them to follow the traffic rules so that road accidents can be reduced.
While giving details about the seminars, SSP Bhullar told that 93 traffic awareness seminars have been organized in schools/colleges from January 1 to May 31, in which students and teachers were given information about the rules. Likewise, 11 traffic awareness seminars have been conducted to provide information about traffic rules to drivers, conductors and female attendants of school buses.
Apart from this, two seminars in Four Wheeler Union, 8 seminars in Three Wheeler Union, 3 seminars at the taxi stands, 7 seminars in Canter and Truck Unions, 2 seminars in tractor-trolley unions, 4 seminars in Tempo unions and 19 seminars in villages/cities were organized.
Besides educating the people about traffic rules in these seminars, there were also awareness is being made against drugs and planting saplings to save the environment. Iinformation about ‘Shakti’ app and information regarding services provided by Saanjh Kendras also shared in these seminars.
He said that due to non-compliance of traffic rules many accidents are held, that can be reduced to a large extent by compliance with the traffic rules. He appealed to the people that they should follow the traffic rules to protect themselves and others’ lives.
