Bathinda, 25 September 2019: Two out of three posts of Assistant Registrar (A.R) in cooperative department are lying vacant in the Bathinda district.
These posts are lying vacant since 31st August after the retirement of the A.R.s posted at Rampura Phul and Bathinda. The functioning of the department has been paralysed due to the absence of these two officers.
Various schemes of state government are dealt by these offices, such as debt waiver for farmers and state run insurance schemes, so farmers and other people related with cooperative movement are suffering due to non availability of the A.R.s because charge of these posts has not been handed over to any other official of the department.
Two cooperators Harinder Pal Singh Sidhu and Hargobind Singh have urged the Registrar Cooperative Societies (RCS) Punjab to atleast handover the temporary charge to some nearby officers of the department”.
They said “The post of A.R Bathinda is based at district headquarter and temporary charge of this post must be given to any nearby posted officer that will serve a useful purpose for smooth functing”.
