DC hands over Job letters to selected candidates

Under the Punjab Government’s flagship programme ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ Mission 9 Mega Job Fairs have been held by the District Administration Sangrur at all sub divisions in September month, which got good response of the youth of the district and renowned companies.

During these Mega Job Fairs more than 6500 youngsters have been provided various types of jobs. Apart from this many more have been selected for self-employment and skill training.

This was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Ghanshyam Thori while handing over the job letters to selected candidates at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institution College here on Monday.

During Mega Job Fair in Sangrur 1256 have been provided jobs by renowned companies. The Deputy Commissioner said that ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ Mission is proving boon for unemployed youth.

He said that 573 have been provided jobs at an employment fair in Bhawanigarh, 469 in Dhuri, 509 in Ahmedgarh, 757 in Moonak, 723 in Malerkotla, 1016 in Sunam, 569 in Lehragaga, 1079 in Dirba and 1256 youngsters got employment in job fair held at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institution College in Sangrur.

Thori also handed over the job letters on the spot to some selected candidates at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institution College in Sangrur.

On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rajinder Batra, SDM Avikesh Gupta, District Employment Officer Gurtej Singh, President Industries Chamber Ghanshyam Kansal were also present.
