Khanna (Ludhiana), August 2, 2021: A 2016 batch officer of the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Manjeet Kaur assumed charge as the Sub Divional Magistrate of Khanna on Monday.
Manjeet Kaur, who had earlier served as SDM Sunam is one of the proactive officers of the state cadre. She has also served as Deputy Director Admin PWD B&R at Patiala from October 2017 to July 2018. Before that she was AC (G) at Sangrur from October 2016 to October 2017.
She had performed well and done good work as SDM of Sunam and she served there from July 2018 to July 2021 for more than three years. During her long tenure, she has concentrated and decided the revenue cases on fast track basis and which has earned her good name among the people of the area.
Assuming the charge of her new office, the SDM Manjeet Kaur said that she special attention will be given to further implement the pro-people schemes of the Punjab government in a good manner.
Manjeet Kaur said that her thrust areas would be to fast track and provide effective administration to dispose of the revenue cases and give transparent administration to people besides ensuring effective implementation of the flagship programs of the Punjab government.
In a preliminary meeting with the staff in her office, the SDM asked them to perform their duty passionately to ensure that the benefits of pro-people schemes of the state government reach the people at the grass root level.
