Bathinda, December 2021: Ms Sonali Mishra, IPS, IG BSF Punjab Frontier was awarded the prestigious President Police Medal for distinguished service by Amit Shah, Home Minister, Government of India on the occasion of 57th Raising Day of Border Security Force.

Ms Sonali Mishra is an Indian Police Service officer of 93rd Batch from Madhya Pradesh cadre, and holds vast Police experience.

She have served in Madhya Pradesh Police in various capacities, commanded the militancy infested Kashmir Frontier in BSF and now commanding the challenging Punjab Frontier.

She has excelled in the field of Policing and fighting militancy.

She had been IG (G) FHQ BSF, New Delhi and also served in CBI at New Delhi and Mumbai as SP and DIG, respectively.

She has also led the Indian CIVPOL contingent to UN in Kosovo.
