Emerges as peoples police officer

In first of its kind course of action, the popular woman Police officer of Punjab Avneet Kaur Sidhu is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the Police and Community relationship through in-person facilitated programs, which engages local law enforcement agencies and community leaders in a dialogue to identify issues, listen their grievances  and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police-community partnerships.

SAANJH POLICE PUBLIC MEETING

Yesterday, one of such well attended meeting was held under the banner of Saanjh Police Public meeting by Avneet Kaur Sidhu SSP Malerkotla, at Village Kanganwal, where people from five villages were called for the meeting.

Avneet Sidhu said that elected representatives of civic bodies and social leaders can help the police devote more time on crime prevention and detection by resolving petty issues by arbitration at local level.

She called upon the residents to constitute Dispute Resolving Committees, by inducting members from all sections of society including women, youth, sportspersons and elderly persons.

The SSP interacted with groups of women, elderly persons and the youth separately to discuss their special issues. She heard the grievances of the people on the spot and also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in drive against drugs and other crimes.

Large number of people, women in huge numbers took part in the meeting and shared their grievances

Awareness was spread regarding Cyber crime and women help desks.
