Chandigarh, October 21, 2022: Anil Thakur on Friday assumed charge as Chairman of the Punjab State Traders Commission in the presence of Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, and Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjer.
Punjab Health Minister Chetan Singh Jaur majra, Punjab Revenue Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa , Punjab Urban development Minister Aman Arora and other MLAs also participated in the function and congratulated Anil Thakur on his new assignment.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister expressed confidence that Anil Thakur would act as a bridge between the government and traders for the effective implementation of pro-traders policies.
Congratulating Thakur, Finance Minister extended his every support in the implementation of various government schemes to ensure the welfare of the traders.
Anil Thakur, while thanking Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and senior leadership for showing faith in him, said that he would fulfill to the best of his abilities and responsibilities assigned to him. “I will try my best to mitigate the problems of the business and trade community and I will plan a tour program of cities to meet various communities to take a note of the issues and put up them before the state government”
Prominent office bearers of the AAP Traders and Industry wing marked their presence in large numbers including Punjab spokes person Neel Garg, Anil Kumar Kumar Singla, Bhupinder Bansal, prominent businessman Lucky Mangla, Former President SSD Sabha Bathinda Promod Kumar and prominent woman leader Mandeep Kaur Ramgarhia.
Anil Thakur is also state president of the Trade and Industry wing of AAP, General Secretary of the Punjab Hotel Association, and General Secretary of Punjab Rajput Mahasabha. Anil Thakur belongs to Bathinda and he has a long association with the Aam Aadmi Party and as he has served the party on various key positions in state and had organised more than 100 impressive meetings of Industrialists, Traders and business community during the election campaign.
