Abohar, 5 June 2019: World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year; this day was created to inspire the people across the world for the active participation to save the natural environment.
The different kinds of exhibits and displays to promote environmental awareness in many different ways are organised on this day. World Environment Day is hosted every year in different cities by forest wild life department and other organisations.
Abohar Forest range of Ferozepur (Wildlife) division today organised an event at the Abohar Sanctuary. All staff members along with wildlife range officer Malkeet Singh participated. They carried out tree plantation in the area.
Divisional Forest officer (Wildlife) Ferozepur Kalpana K IFS said “We will organise another function in Harike tomorrow to celebrate the world environment day. It’s part of the events to be organised to spread the message about the importance of planting more trees and protection of the existing trees”.
