World Environment Day celebrated at 11 different villages by Sangrur Forest Division.

Sangrur, 5 June 2019: World Environment Day was celebrated today at 11 different places by the Sangrur Divisional Forest office.

DFO Sangrur Monika Devi said “We have celebrated the event at eleven different villages in the division to inspire the people to save the environment by planting 550 plants in each village”. It’s a part of the mission 550 of Tandurast Punjab, she said.

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori launched the event at village Bahadurpur by sapling plants. Large number of villagers took part in the events at all the places.

Deputy Commissioner Tej Partap Singh Phoolka launched the event at village Kot Dhunaa in Dhanaula range in Barnala district.

Large number of women also participated in the events
