Mayor greet employees on Diwali with sweets and candles

Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh greeted employees of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh for Diwali with sweets and candles on Thursday.  Anindita Mitra Commissioner was also present on the occasion.

The Mayor distributed sweets and candles to the different employees unions like employee’s co-ordination committee, Chandigarh, Safai Karmacharis unions, Sewer men union, Labourer union and Gardeners union etc.

The Mayor Sarbjit Kaur disclosed that the Corporation is continuously making efforts to provide all necessary items to safai karmacharis and sewer men according to their needs i.e. jiggery, oil and soap before Diwali.

The Mayor said that Diwali is a festival that illuminates people’s minds and hearts with the spirit of oneness. She said may the festival bring happiness, peace and prosperity to all the employees of MCC and the citizens of Chandigarh.

She said that this is the festival to remember that light triumphs over dark and good triumphs over evil. She encouraged the union leaders to reach out to each and every employee of the Corporation to wish Diwali and spread smiles.

Rahul Bhandari gets important assignments in AAP Govt

Chandigarh, September 27, 2022:

A 1997- batch IAS officer, Rahul Bhandari, who is presently serving as Principal Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training on 27th September assumed addition charges of Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

After assuming charges of both the departments, Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari held separate meetings with Director Information and Public Relations Sonali Giri and Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Ghanshyam Thori.

Rahul Bhandari said that he would accord top priority to further bringing efficiency and transparency in the functioning of the departments to achieve the goals and aspirations of the Punjab Government.

Rahul Bhandari has also been given charge as principal secretary, civil aviation.

He has also served as Deputy Commissioner Bathinda.

Earlier, both these posts i.e. Secretary Food & Civil Supply and Public relation departments were held by 2001-batch IAS officer Gurkirat Kirpal Singh.

In first of its kind course of action, the popular woman Police officer of Punjab Avneet Kaur Sidhu is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the Police and Community relationship through in-person facilitated programs, which engages local law enforcement agencies and community leaders in a dialogue to identify issues, listen their grievances  and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police-community partnerships.

SAANJH POLICE PUBLIC MEETING

Yesterday, one of such well attended meeting was held under the banner of Saanjh Police Public meeting by Avneet Kaur Sidhu SSP Malerkotla, at Village Kanganwal, where people from five villages were called for the meeting.

Avneet Sidhu said that elected representatives of civic bodies and social leaders can help the police devote more time on crime prevention and detection by resolving petty issues by arbitration at local level.

She called upon the residents to constitute Dispute Resolving Committees, by inducting members from all sections of society including women, youth, sportspersons and elderly persons.

The SSP interacted with groups of women, elderly persons and the youth separately to discuss their special issues. She heard the grievances of the people on the spot and also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in drive against drugs and other crimes.

Large number of people, women in huge numbers took part in the meeting and shared their grievances

Awareness was spread regarding Cyber crime and women help desks.

Here are 8 Women PCS officers who are admired by the people due to their good efforts to handle people’s issues and they have done exemplary work during their fields postings as SDMs and ADCs. As the qualities of strong woman shine out like brilliant rays of sunshine, these woman officers are filled with such qualities that are inspiring for others.

Rajdeep Kaur who has served as ADC (G) at Shri Muktsar Sahib has shown her calibre on many occasions which deserve to be noted down.  She had launched two ventures Vidya Prakash and “Samrath – Ek Kadam Safaltaa Wal” these initiatives were in the area of employment and skill training. These ventures have attracted public attention.

Amaninder Brar who has been topper in the PCS exams has taken strong decisions as SDM Kharar which has proved that she is a strong willed woman officer. The matter in question involves a case related with a powerful Cabinet Minister of Punjab. She followed the call of duty and refused the pressure in deciding an important matter.

Charumita has put up good show as SDM Sultanpur Lodhi during Gurupurab celebrations.  Her role was widely appreciated by the higher officers and people of the area.

Poonam Singh s while serving as SDM has worked hard for girl child empowerment at Abohar and worked for social welfare schemes at Nakodar.  She had earned good will of the people by maintaining close ties with the local people. She is known as people’s officer.

Manjeet Kaur has fast tracked revenue matters as SDM Sunam and earned good name.

Dr Mandeep Kaur has promoted social activities as SDM Gidderbaha and Jaito.

Innayat has done exemplary work as SDM Bathinda in accelerating the Land Acquisition work for widening of roads, which was pending and slow.

It was the efforts of Jiwan Jot Kaur’s hard work that Bhadson became first ODF ULB of Punjab in 2018. She has also worked hard as SDM Moonak. She is one of the hard working civil officers.

Bathinda:  The Punjab Police Cyber Crime Cell team is doing good work and leading in solving various crimes related with cyber. This Cell performs its functions under the supervision of ADGP Cyber Crime P.K Sinha IPS , IGP R.K Jaiswal and DIG  Jagadale Nilambry Vijay  as well as under the overall control, direction and guidance of the DGP, Punjab.

Punjab State Cyber Crime Cell has bagged first prize in Investigation of WhatsApp impersonation-related case.

Award was presented at National Conference of State Cyber Nodal Officers held in New Delhi organized by #NCRB.

100+ case studies were received by the NCRB.

Case study: Senior functionaries of Punjab were impersonated through WhatsApp platform & financial favours were sought on their behalf from the people.

State Cyber Crime Division Punjab India Crime Cell successfully investigated and cracked the case by arresting 3 Nigerian Nationals.

Punjab Police has set up a State level cyber Crime Investigation Cell at Phase-4, S.A.S Nagar, Mohali. It exclusively deals with the case of Cyber Crime and is currently headed by an officer of the rank of inspector General (IG) of police.

The Cyber Crime Investigation Cell Consists of well-equipped cyber forensics labs, mobile forensics labs as well as the newly launched Social Media Monitoring Lab. Apart from this, there also exists a notified Cyber Crime Police Station with the jurisdiction of the entire State of Punjab, where Cyber Crime cases of serious nature are registered & investigated under various provisions of IT Act and other related laws.

All treatment facilities are available near home to quit drugs

With a view to eradicate the drug menace from the state, the Punjab Chief Minister has opened new Oat Centers in the district so that the drug addicts could get the de-addiction drugs near their homes and easily quit drugs.

Giving information in this regard, Mr. Vineet Kumar IAS The Deputy Commissioner said that 9 oat centers were already functioning in the district and 11 new oat centers have been opened. There are now a total of 20 government oat centers in the district. These centers and private centers are periodically checked by the health department under the supervision of experts.

The Deputy Commissioner constituted a team of experts from the health department to personally check the private drug de-addiction centers and the records of the private centers were checked and it was observed that the private centers were functioning as per the instructions and records of the government.

He directed the private centers to work in accordance with the guidelines given by the government from time to time. He instructed the doctors of the centers that no difficulty should be allowed to the drug addicts who come here and priority should be given to drug addicts by admitting them.

Dr. Sunil Bansal, Deputy Medical Commissioner, Dr. Rashmi Chawla, De-addiction Specialist, Mr. Sukhmandar Singh, District Mass Media Officer, . Niranjan Rakhra, Mrs. Binu were present in the inspection team.
