Flight Lieutenant Alisha Tandon  today said that wearing the uniform of the Armed forces was a matter of great pride and satisfaction for every individual but it also carries a huge responsibility as it was nourished by the blood of martyrs.

Interacting with the students during the sixth Edition of the Spark career guidance fest here at local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Flight Lieutenant Alisha Tandon said that youth of country was having lot of potential to excel in any field and they could aptly serve the nation by joining the Armed Forces especially the Indian Air force.

She envisioned that such fests could act as a catalyst to ensure that more and more youth from the region join the IAF as officers and serve the country.

She also informed the students from the various streams about the entire process regarding the recruitment in the Air Force through NDA, Air Force Common Admission Test, Combined Defence Services and others.

Striking an emotional chord with the girl students, Flight Lieutenant further said that they could excel in every field of their desire after proper grooming.

She said that the girls should sit hand-on-hand and wait for the opportunity to fall in their lap.

Rather she said that the girls should equip themselves with power of education and lead the country in varied fields.

She also informed the youth that there was a lot of opportunities waiting for them in the Indian Air Force

जयपुर, 16 दिसम्बर। मुख्यमंत्री श्री अशोक गहलोत ने कहा कि शिक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य दो ऎसी सेवाएं हैं, जिनमें पैसा कमाना नहीं बल्कि सेवा करना उद्देश्य होना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों क्षेत्रों में नो प्रोफिट-नो लॉस की भावना के साथ कार्य करते हुए आमजन को राहत पहुंचाने के लिए सभी को आगे आना होगा।

श्री गहलोत सोमवार को होटल क्लार्कस आमेर में दो दिवसीय ‘उच्च एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा एवं एचआर कॉन्क्लेव‘ के उद्घाटन के अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में सम्बोधित कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि मेडिकल कॉलेज संचालकों को गरीब एवं सुविधाहीन लागों की मदद के लिए आगे आना होगा। कोचिंग संचालकों को गरीब छात्र-छात्राओं को रियायती दर पर कोर्सेज एवं कोचिंग सुविधा उपलब्ध करानी चाहिए।

मुख्यमंत्री ने इस कॉन्क्लेव के आयोजन के लिए उच्च शिक्षा विभाग, तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग एवं इलेट्स टैक्नोमीडिया को बधाई दी और उम्मीद जताई कि कॉन्क्लेव के दौरान होने वाले विभिन्न सत्रों में उच्च एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में देश-विदेश में हो रहे नवाचारों पर चर्चा होगी और विचारों का आदान-प्रदान होगा, जिसका युवाओं खासकर उच्च शिक्षा हासिल करने वाले छात्र-छात्राओं को लाभ मिलेगा।

श्री गहलोत ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार उच्च शिक्षा की पहुंच दूर-दराज के क्षेत्रों एवं गरीब विद्यार्थियों तक बनाने की दिशा में प्रयास कर रही है। हमारे पहले बजट में हमने प्रदेश में 50 कॉलेज खोलने की घोषणा की थी, जिनमें से 10 कॉलेज बालिकाओं के थे। मुझे यह बताते हुए खुशी है कि इन कॉलेजों में प्रवेश हो चुके हैं और पढ़ाई भी शुरू हो गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि बालिकाओं में उच्च शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए राज्य सरकार ने कई कदम उठाए हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि मेरे पहले कार्यकाल में प्रदेश में उच्च शिक्षा में निजी क्षेत्र को कॉलेज, यूनिवर्सिटी खोलने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया था ताकि यहां के बच्चों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा हासिल करने के लिए राज्य से बाहर नहीं जाना पड़े। प्राइवेट कॉलेजों एवं विश्वविद्यालयों में पढ़ाई कमजोर तबके के छात्र वहन नहीं कर पाते हैं, इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए राज्य सरकार सरकारी क्षेत्र के कॉलेजों एवं विश्वविद्यालयों में आधारभूत सुविधाएं मजबूत करने की दिशा में कार्य कर रही है। सरकारी कॉलेजों में शिक्षकों के एक हजार पदों को भरने की प्रक्रिया भी जल्द शुरू की जाएगी।

कार्यक्रम में उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री श्री भंवरसिंह भाटी ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के बच्चों को उच्च शिक्षा से जोड़ने के लिए योजनाबद्ध तरीके से प्रयास कर रही है। मुख्यमंत्री श्री अशोक गहलोत द्वारा प्रदेश में 50 सरकारी कॉलेज खोलने की घोषणा का सर्वाधिक लाभ ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि के छात्रों को मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि जो छात्राएं 12वीं के बाद पढ़ाई के लिए शहर नहीं जा पाती, उन्हें अब उच्च शिक्षा हासिल करने में आसानी होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश के सरकारी कॉलेजों में अध्ययनरत छात्राओं की फीस माफी के राज्य सरकार के फैसले से भी बालिका शिक्षा को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

तकनीकी शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री डॉ. सुभाष गर्ग ने तकनीकी शिक्षा को मजबूती देने की दिशा में किए जा रहे प्रयासों के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होेंने कहा कि सरकारी इंजीनियरिंग एवं पॉलिटेक्नीक कॉलेजों में छात्रों की संख्या बढ़ी है।

समारोह की शुरूआत में उच्च शिक्षा सचिव श्रीमती शूचि शर्मा ने मुख्यमंत्री एवं अन्य अतिथियों का स्वागत किया और विभाग के क्रियाकलापों की जानकारी दी। एआईसीटीई के चेयरमैन प्रो. अनिल सहस्त्रबुद्धे ने कहा कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में तकनीकी शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए वहां पॉलिटेक्नीक कॉलेजों में नवीन उपकरणों के लिए फण्ड उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है। इसके अलावा वहां कौशल विकास की सुविधाएं भी दी जा रही हैं ताकि युवाओं को कुशल बनाकर उन्हें रोजगार के अवसर दिए जा सकें।

इस अवसर पर कॉलेज शिक्षा आयुक्त श्री प्रदीप बोरड़, इलेट्स टेक्नोमीडिया के प्रमोटर श्री रवि गुप्ता, एनआईआईटी के चेयरमैन श्री राजेन्द्र पंवार, विभिन्न दूतावासों से आए राजदूत, विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपति एवं उच्च शिक्षा से जुड़े लोग उपस्थित थे।

इससे पहले मुख्यमंत्री ने डिजिटल लर्निंग का विमोचन किया एवं संभाग स्तरीय स्मार्ट साइंस लैब की शुरूआत की। उन्होंने कार्यक्रम स्थल पर आयोजित प्रदर्शनी में पॉलिटेक्नीक कॉलेज एवं उच्च शिक्षा से जुड़े संस्थानों के छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा किए जा रहे नवाचारों का अवलोकन किया और उनकी हौसला अफजाई की।

SAS Nagar, December 02, 2019: Taking serious note of the ignorant bank officials for not providing benefits of various government schemes to the beneficiaries, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sakshi Sawhney today reprimanded bank officials.

She was chairing the quarterly meeting of the District Level Consultative Committee meeting here at District Administrative Complex.

She said notices would be issued to the District Coordinators (DCOs) of the banks who would be absent in the quarterly meeting of the District Level Consultative Committee as each DCO acts as a link between all branches of banks and district administration. Hence, in case of their absence, required instructions of district administration could not reach to the concerned bank officials.

She directed the bank officials to provide maximum loans to the youth and members of self help groups for self-employment as doing so problem of unemployment could eliminate. “Representatives of banks should achieve all the targets of the government schemes of various sectors before the next meeting”, she added.

Sawhney said that there are complaints that banks are over charging for Aadhaar card enrolment and updation, thus bank authorities should clearly specify the prescribed charges in their banks.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner also said that the instructions of RBI regarding ‘Scale of Finance’ should be strictly adhered while providing loans for agricultural purposes. She also instructed to shun the practices of multi-financing by the customers.

She asked Financial Literacy Officer of the banks to sensitize public about Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana and categorically told the bankers to send at least three District Coordinators during Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana camps.

Reviewing the progress of the Banks for the quarter ending September 2019, she advised bankers to clear the pendency of cases by December 31 under Govt. sponsored Schemes like PMEGP, KVIB, NULM & Dairy etc. The target of 10 MUDRA loans to by each branch in the district has been allocated for the self employments schemes. She also stressed upon sanction of standup India loans at least two cases per branch by banks to increase the credit flow / loan in the district. She also urged the banks to give special focus on social schemes like PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.

Darshan Sandhu, Chief LDM informed that the district has surpassed the priority sector target 46.17% against the national goal of 40%. The Credit Deposit Ratio improved 68.97% against the national goal of 60%.

Under Prime Minister Mudra Yojna, 19141 beneficiaries have been sanctioned loan up to 30.09.2019.  Under PMSBY: 109610 & PMJJBY: 33324 beneficiaries had been covered up to 30.09.2019.

Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, DDM NABARD discussed the projections of PLP for 2020-21, regarding Marketing Schemes of DMI, DEDs scheme reviewed, RIDF non-starter projects, JLG/SHG and the Area Development Scheme in respect of Dairy and poly house.  All DCO’s were told to view ensure.nabard.org portal for viewing budgetary allocations under DEDS scheme.

Krishna Biswas, LDO RBI stressed upon the timely submission of LBRs. He also advised all the bankers to submit the data, especially Private sector banks in time. Mr. H.D. Babbar, AGM, PNB thanked all the bankers and also ensured the Administration to meet the targets in the next quarter meeting.

Jaipur, 17 November 2019: Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has appointed retired senior bureaucrat Dr Gurdial Singh Sandhu as Advisor for development of new cricket stadiums in Rajasthan. Dr G.S Sandhu is a close confidante of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and has served the state in various capacities such as Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Services Secretary in the Central government.

A PhD in Banking, Dr G.S Sandhu has a vast administrative experience in Industrial Infrastructure & Investment and Urban Infrastructure & Housing sector. Key projects and schemes planned and implemented by him are Jaipur Metro Rail Project, City Tunnel across Aravali Hills, Jaipur Ring Road Project and Affordable Housing Policy. This Affordable Housing Policy model was recommended by Union government to be studied as exemplary policy and it was thereafter studied by governments of Gujarat, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, etc.

He has successfully implemented several affordable housing projects on PPP basis, about 1, 00,000 houses constructed by private sector and allotted by Rajasthan state government agencies without any budgetary outgo from the government.

Dr Sandhu undertook a major program of making master plans for all towns in Rajasthan, 100 new electronically accessible master plans were prepared during his tenure and all towns in Rajasthan now have master plans. He also got constructed about 50 flyovers and Railway over-bridges (Robs)

He is instrumental in establishing India’s first Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) at Jaipur in 1997 during his tenure as MD as RICCO. He also established Centre for development of Stones (CDOS) for promotion of stone industry (PPP initiative) and set up 50 new industrial parks in Rajasthan.  Stone Mart exhibition was started for promotion of stone industry.

During his tenure as Joint Secretary in department of Pharmaceuticals, he formed and launched the Jan Aushdi Scheme for selling generic medicines in 2008. First Jan Aushdi Store was opened in Amritsar in 2008. It is one of the most successful schemes of the government. He was also instrumental in opening six new NIPERS in country at Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati Rae Bareilly and Patna.

During his tenure as Secretary in Finance department in central government, he formulated and implemented the prestigious “Pradhan Pantri Jan Dhan Yojana” scheme, entering the Guinness Book of World Records. It was launched on 28 August 2014.  He also reviewed major stalled infrastructure projects, particularly in the road and power sector with the banks from the financial point of view to overcome hurdles in implementation. He took various steps to improve the system of recruitment of MDs and EDs in public sector banks.

Speaking with this reporter, Dr G.S Sandhu said “Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has planned to build a new international level Stadium at Jaipur. Similarly a new Cricket Stadium is to be built at Udaipur and the existing Jodhpur Cricket Stadium needs to be upgraded as per the international standards and guidelines of the BCCI”. The state government has allotted land at Jaipur and Udaipur for developing new Cricket Stadiums disclosed Dr Sandhu.

Dr Sandhu said “My job is to execute these new projects and oversee their progress. As Sawai Man Singh stadium at Jaipur has inadequate infrastructure to cater to the requirements for international tournaments as laid down by BCCI, and it doesn’t have needed amenities for the spectators for enjoyable experiences of international matches”. We will provide the best infrastructure in these new stadiums added Dr Sandhu.

DC Isha Kalia visits ‘Drug Free’ villages

Hoshiarpur, November 26:

The District Administration of Hoshiarpur led by Isha Kalia has initiated steps to boost the morale of the residents of the villages which were declared drug free during the last two months. To maintain a close rapport with these villagers and solve their problems priority, she has started touring these villages.

It is noteworthy that she had launched a vigorous campaign by involving village panchayats and other NGOs to eliminate drug menace.

DC on Tuesday along with officers of various departments visited Tappa, Kookanet and Corat villages and appreciated the efforts of the villagers in eliminating drug menace besides listening to their grievances and took various decisions to solve their grievances on spot.

Isha Kalia told this reporter that so far 27 villages have been freed from the drug menace in District Hoshiarpur. Those declared drug free as per the parameters laid by the government are 12 in  Hoshiarpur Sub division 6 in Dasuya, 8 in Garhshankar and 1 in Mukerian Sub Division in the last two months.

The district administration after following all the guidelines on the subject has identified these villages and declared drug free added Isha Kalia.

She further said “Strict parameters have been laid for the purpose by the Government which include reporting and recommendations of Nasha Roku Nigraan Committee, DAPOs, Master trainers, Guardians of Governance, Police department, health department, anti-narcotics wing”.

Sunam, 25 November 2019: Congress workers led by Daaman Thind Bajwa Vice President of Youth congress held a protest against the Central government’s unconventional moves which have led to the disastrous economical crises in the history of Indian politics and which have completely sabotaged the growth of industrial, agricultural and educational sector. Daaman Thind Bajwa said “Various institutions have been created by the constitution and the laws to guard the functioning of democracy and also to protect fundamental rights of citizens, they are under threat in this regime”.

She said “India’s rate of unemployment doubled in the past two years, according to the State of India’s Environment (SoE) In Figures, 2019. This has particularly affected young graduates”. As per the reports, the unemployment rate has gone up from four per cent to 7.6 in the last two years. The unemployment rate in April 2019 was the highest in two years, added Youth Congress leader.

Daaman Bajwa said the escalating unemployment and inflation rate have reached the worst point in history. This is the time to stand against the wrong policies of the central government and to be the voice of each and every unemployed youngster, housewife, distressed farmers and small scale industrialists who have now completely given up their hopes of getting a better life under the reign of this Government in centre

Digital Museum to exhibit Guru Nanak’s Life in Hoshiarpur from Nov 21

Hoshiarpur, November 19-

A one-of-its-kind Ultra Modern Digital Museum exhibiting the life of the First Sikh Guru Nanak Dev would be opened for the public at Roshan Ground in Hoshiarpur on November 21 for three days.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner, Isha Kaila while assigning the duties for smooth conduct of the three day program said that the digital museum and light & sound show program would be the part of year long ongoing celebrations slated by the state government for commemorating the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.

The digital mobile museum will remain open for the public from 7am to 5.30 pm from November 21 to 23, while two shows— 6.15 pm to 7 pm and 7.45 pm to 8.30 pm, each of Light and Sound show, would be displayed on November 22 and 23.

Calling upon the people from different age groups and walks of life to visit the digital museum on the above mentioned days to have a rare experience through the hi-end technological museum aimed at disseminating the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, the deputy commissioner added that district administration to make all possible the arrangements required for the smooth run of shows.

Terming the Museum as a humble effort by the state government to spread the message to the people for embracing the ideology of love, compassion, equality, peace and brotherhood propounded by Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in its true spirit, she said that entry for these shows is completely free of cost.

She urged residents to must visit the museum along with their families from November 21 onwards and watch 45-minute light and sound show with colorful visual presentations, ultra-modern laser techniques and unique acoustics in the evenings of November 22 and 23.

Throwing light upon the museum based on multi-media technologies, deputy commissioner added that it would have eight galleries showcasing the life and journey of revered Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Additional deputy commissioner (Gen.) Harpreet Singh Sudan and SDM Amit Sareen were also present on the occasion.

It is talk of the town, if one listens to the views of the visitors. “We are happy to see such good arrangements made by the administration, it is at par with Kumbh Mela” said Harinder Pal Singh a visitor.

The department of the local bodies is receiving huge positive reception for maintaining cleanliness in Holy City Sultanpur Lodhi despite huge rush of pilgrims.  The pilgrims are comparing it with the cleanliness seen by the people at the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad.

There are 73 langars and responsibility of cleanliness in all the Langers has been taken up by the Local Government Department.

As per the available information, a comprehensive plan chalked out by four member committee of the Department of Local Government led by Minister Brahm Mohindra, Principal Secretary A.Venu Prasad, IAS, Ajoy Sharma IAS, CEO of PMIDC and Karnesh Sharma IAS, Director, Local Government, Punjab for the city. They have planned each and everything in a meticoulous way and it is being implemented carefully by Barjinder Singh Regional Deputy Director, Local Government Jalandhar.

Barjinder Singh who is looking after the implementation work, himself uses e-cycle to keep check and monitor the arrangements.

As per information, Approx 2500 sanitation employees working in three shifts are checked by this officer day and night. The sanitation staff is working in three shifts to keep the city spick and span.

They (Ashok Gehlot & Raja Warring) enjoy a close rapport between them.

Sources said “In the wake of putting up a good show by the Congress in the recent elections in Haryana and Maharastra, they discussed the organisational issues to strengthen the party in the northern India”.
