Officials make beeline to Jagroop Gill’s residence

Bathinda, 13 March 2022: AAP candidate from Bathinda urban Jagroop Singh Gill has emerged as a giant killer on the political scenario of the malwa politics. He has given a crushing defeat to the Punjab’s mighty Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal by winning with a massive margin of more than 63000 votes. It is the biggest ever margin in the history of the city’s electoral politics.
Known as one of the shrewd politicians of the region with a strong mass base has proved himself in his very first election, he fought for state legislature assembly. He enjoys a good rapport with the business community of the city, which has proved very beneficial for him.
Even the ground level congress workers were seen working for him openly during the elections. He has served the local Municipal Corporation as a member since 1979 without a break and he also remained president of the Municipal Committee for five years.
Police officials make beeline to Jagroop Gill’s residence
Meanwhile, district level civil and police officials including SPs and DSPs of the police department have started making their rounds of calls, with some even making a beeline to his residence in the hope of being in his “good books.”
