Vigilance Bureau files cancellation report in Hoshiarpur Land Scam

Bathinda, 27 June 2019: After a long and thorough investigation by the team of Vigilance Bureau of Punjab, the bureau has filed a cancellation report in the Hoshiarpur land scam which has remained in news headlines in June 2016.
The cancellation report has been filed before Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana, Additional Session Judge on 14 June. The case would come up for next hearing on July 5, 2017, in the court of District Session Judge, Ludhiana.
The cancellation report has been filed on the basis of the report prepared by the Vigilance Bureau official, DSP Niranjan Singh of the Jalandhar unit.
The land in question was acquired by the NHAI for a four-laning project
Confirming this development, one of the officials, who was named in the case said “Truth always comes out”.
