Citizens appreciate Traffic Police’s one way plan for Ajit Road

Bathinda, 14 August 2019: Citizens of Bathinda have welcome the traffic police‘s initiative to make Ajit Road as one way road. The Ajit Road, which is one of the busiest stretches where a majority of the IELTS institutions and private hospitals are located, has been made the one-way stretch by the traffic police. It was a long pending demand of the people to take remedial steps to ease out the uncontrolled traffic on Ajit Road.

Hapzard parking on the both sides of road and wrongly parked vehicles were creating inconvience to residents and sometimes these vehicles lead to a complete roadblock. It was almost a daily routine.

Apart from daily visitors, shopkeepers and residents of the area find it difficult to move around on the road to buy vegetables and other daily need things due to the wrongly parked vehicles.

Large number of citizens has lauded the police initiative on social media sites.

Gian Chand Bansal spokesperson of swaraj abhiyan appreciated the traffic police initiative and said “It is welcome step and it should be enforced strictly and tow away vehicles should also be activated to remove the wrongly parked vehicles”.  Rajwant Kaur and Jagmeet have lauded the initiative as “good” on the facebook. Proff Paramjit Singh Romana of Punjabi Univesrsity said “Very good decision. Hope they implimet it”. Ish Garg said “Excellent step. Kindly help police department to make it a success”.

One police official on duty at Ajit road said “No challan will issued to the violators for one week and only warning will be issued”.
