Bathinda 24 July 2021: Punjab Civil Service (PCS) allied 2016 batch officer, Dr. Vinay Bansal, today won the second runner up prize in 4th Edition of Amazon Pen to Publish contest, for his latest book on communication skills titled ‘Speaking skills’. This book is already a bestseller on Amazon for last 6 months. The book got special recognition as it is a unique combination of two genres- Scientific Fiction and Self help.
It contains fiction story of Dr. Bakshi, a renowned psychologist and Kritika, a young software expert who are working to develop a humanoid robot, SAMA, which can talk with humans, but in a better way. The story takes many turns and through the medium of this interesting story, author teaches his readers many communication skills that we frequently miss in normal conversation. Author writes that “Speaking without skills may kill”, that’s why the title of book is deliberately written as ‘speaking (s) Kills’.
This book is fifth book from the doctor turned author. His fourth book, ‘The Wheel of Spirituality’ is also a bestseller on Amazon and Google books. This spiritual book is being considered one of the best books on modern Spirituality for young readers as it contains simple language with lots of quotes, fiction stories and To-do lists. His one quote from this book is very famous these days – “Religion can be Spiritual but Spirituality is not entirely religious.”
Dr. Vinay Bansal completed his MBBS from GMC Patiala and joined PCMS (Punjab Civil Medical Services) in year 2012. After clearing PCS examination twice in 2015 and 2016, he first joined as ETO and then joined as Tehsildar. Presently he is posted as Sub Registrar at Bathinda. He has also written a book for teaching Urdu and has also made free online videos for teaching Urdu and Revenue Concepts in an easy way.
