Thori launches Graffiti under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori has launched a special initiative to promote ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign as a mass movement through graffiti art in Sangrur district. This campaign is getting huge response from various quarters.
The over bridge of Bhawanigarh at National Highway 7 has been adorned with graffiti in such a way that it is catching the fancy of every passerby. Photographs of girls are made on the bridge with different colors to give an insight that daughters can achieve any height of success in their lives.
These graffities showcase a clear message to enable the girls to touch the sky. Graffities are full of substances that girls should also have equal rights in society so that they can lead from the front.
Deputy Commissioner Thori said daughters have courage to overcome any kind of challenge and they can easily cross any hurdle with their passion and a smile.
Thori said these graffities are engraved with motivational slogans, like ‘Making a daughter to study is a pride’, ‘I am learning to read and penning my own fortune’, ‘I can touch the sky if I get a chance to lead’ etc.
These graffities also demonstrate the journey of daughters from their childhood to greater level of success they achieve after facing lots of challenges in their lives.”We really hope parents could learn from these motivational and inspiring graffities and make their daughters go for higher education after completing the primary school education.
Deputy Commissioner Thori said that during the Lok Sabha elections, graffities were used to motivate the voters about their right to vote, now these graffities are being put up on the Bhawanigarh bridge to highlight the importance of girls education. Since thousands of commuters pass by from this place, they may get inspiration from this initiative.
Thori also said that it is the basic duty of every citizen to provide the honorable place and safe environment for daughters in society and graffiti art will motivate the girls to lead from front to deal with any kind of situation in their lives.
He asserted that the daughters of the country have already established their respective identities in different areas and they are already serving at various honorable posts in the country and abroad. “
“Time is ripe when the younger generation should also learn from this and do serious studies. It is well said by someone that if one daughter is educated in a family, she can educate the several members of a family and if all daughters take a pledge to educate themselves, imagine the number of people they could educate their lives” Thori held.
